I bought a new Blackberry...finally.

Saturday, May 3, 2008

Back in June of last year I told you all that I ♥ my Blackberry, but it was time for a new one. In this economy, I really wasn't prepared to randomly drop $372 on a phone, but it had to be done. If the unit even got misted on, the keys wouldn't work properly, the screen was tough to see, I broke the antenna the other day when I dropped it. My last Blackberry was becoming so fickle that I just didn't want to deal with it anymore.

The upside is that the Blackberry 8830 World Edition is a shit ton better than my old phone.

The downside is that Sprint has me for another two years. :-(

Now you have me wanted to go ahead and get that T-Mobile Wing! But like you said, the economy won't allow me to pay $415 dollars for a luxury item!

I hear you. Trust me. If my antenna wasn't falling off and my buttons not working for stretches of time, I would still be rocking that old one.

I'm w/Fuzzy - I'm so glad that you upgraded. But, you should have went w/the curve...it's such a hot phone.

Can't wait for my curve. But for now it's the 8700 all day.

Fuzzy - You're horrible. LOL. Don't come for my tried and true cell like that. And no, I'm comfortable right where I am with Sprint.

Darius - You're a BB newbie. I put you on to the Curve.

Nia - I wanted the Curve, too. Trust me I did. The World Edition should be nice though. You know how discriminating I am.

I've been thinking about switching from the Treo 700wx to the Blackberry 8830 World Edition ... Seeing this post has me wanting to get dressed and run to the mall here in Rhode Island STAT!

I want the Blackberry Curve. I'm sorry but I need a camera for random moments like MARTA incident. LoL.

$372 dollars? That's a drop in the bucket.

Praise the Lord saints for the blessing of the 8830... Verizon just launched the 8830 last fall and will be getting the Curve next week. What a lot of people fail to realize is the Curve is the 8830, just.. curvier lol. And don't listen to these T-Mobilers, your service would be fucked! Could you imagine having your old phone + terrible service lmao?!

The phone is working well, guys. Thanks for your interest. It'll take some time to get used to it, but that process shouldn't take too long.

I have a new cell number and email address. So, email me through here if you need the new info.
