Do you think that is really worth 7.2 mil? Well at least you will be moving on up like the Jeffersons.

Haha...this, for me, is CLEARLY nothing more than an expensive wet dream. Real estate is a hobby of mine.

Who knows if it'll sell for $7.2 mill. it wouldn't really surprise me. The penthouse at The Vue, another high rise waterfront building, went for $5.3. Hell, a 4th floor unit in the Ritz Carlton (located less than a block from this building) is on the market for
$5.198. Rumor has it that Oprah purchased two top floor units at the Ritz for $11 million.

Baltimore's housing market is bucking the national recession trend. Demand for waterfront property is so high that its still a sellers market (to some extent). Remember, to the super wealthy, this is a bargain compared to comparable units in NYC and Washington.

The Four Seasons Hotel and Residences also comes online in 2009. It'll be interesting to see how much that penthouse will go for. Its a 44th floor apartment in a neighborhood with slightly more cachet. We'll see soon enough. The shovels are in the ground.

In Baltimore??? Damn! That costs more than what I've seen in Chicago. I'll take my $7.2 million elsewhere...if I HAD $7.2 million

W, I do the publicity brochures for these luxury apartments (i.e gorgeous models sipping champagne on the balcony to reinforce 'the dream'). But the reality is they are pretty characterless and I wouldn't want these 'more money than taste' peeps as neighbours. Hope I don't sound like a snob. I'll answer your other query on my "blog"

Dayne - We can split it. 8K square feet is more than enough for two people. If we all pool our resources, then maybe we can rent a closet in there for a couple of hours.

Darius - I agree. Some people don't see it that way though.

YABG - LOL. Agreed.

HairyBears - STOP WITH THE DAMN SPAM!!!

Professor - Chicago seems as if it should be significantly more expensive than Baltimore, but it isn't. The issue with taking your $7.2 to a hotter city is that you won't get a penthouse in a brand new waterfront building. Like Darius said, it's a relative bargain.

Say $7.2 Million. Now say it again. I just don't think that even if I had it to spend I would buy something like that.

Who am I bullishing, I would buy it just because I could.
