What a difference two years make...

Sunday, July 22, 2007
So...a couple of years ago, I was fat. Really fat. I mean, I wasn't "Jerry Springer needs to cut a hole in the wall of my house in order for me to get out" fat, but I was heavy. Like...300+ pounds heavy.

One day in the summer of 2005 I got tired of being heavy and just suddenly changed my eating and excercise habits. I limited myself to 1500 calories per day and started walking and then running about 4-5 miles per day. Now, I don't go to the gym and stuff nearly as much, but I'll get back in the groove of things eventually.

I was talking to Royce aka YABM about this today and he mentioned he wanted to see pics, so here goes:

2005:

2007:

Hooray me!

SHUT THE HELL UP!!!!!

Yeah, I am with Kennon and YABD the weight was working for you. You were a modern day, sexy Heavy D.

But, oh my, you are doing the damn thing in the smaller sizes!

It is true, a change of mind and attitude is all it takes to get the ball rolling.

You go boy!

Congratulations. That is a really difficult thing to keep focused on since there is so much bad food out there. It's hard to make good choices but you did and that's worth being proud of.

Trust me, I can understand everything you went through. All the ups and downs, everything because I didn't lose my weight until the end of college. Congrats to you!! :-)

I can understand the challenges you will have with the weight gone. So, if you ever need a little spots of support here and there, please drop me a line remembering we were both the same at one time.

For the record, either way, you were and are a handsome brother.

Well Dang. Now when people tell me that they can't lose weight, i'll point them in your direction.

YOU LOOK GREAT W. It's very brave of you to show the old pic's. It must have taken a hell of a lot of willpower and says a lot about your strength of character.
